Sahal Telecoms is a NGN (Next Generation Networks) Telecommunications provider established in the Somali Republic in 2012 to provide cost effective internet and telecommunications services. Sahal Telecoms is the result of a conglomerate of aspiring Somali nationals as well as international partners, who have sought to enrich the Somalia population by investing and building next generation network infrastructure in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, as well as nationally in rural Somalia, in order to provide ISP and Telecommunications services to the population within the these areas.

Sahal Timeline!

- Founded in 2012, by Somali businessmen looking to re-build the country, with the aim of providing next generation broadband access and voice solutions in the Somali Republic.

- Obtained a National Telecommunications Licence from the Ministry of Information, Post and Communications under the new  Telecommunications Act of the Somalia Republic.

- Building a Next Generation network since 2012 in Mogadishu, with offices in Bakaara Market, KM4 and Dabka.

- Partnered with global trunking providers in 2013 to provide IP connectivity for the high speed access network.

- Services launched 1 August 2013

- City Wide WiFi launched 2014

- 4G LTE launched 2015

- Exciting Datacenter, Content Delivery and IPTV solutions on the road map.

- National Expansion Planed starting 2016.

In August 2013 Sahal Telecom Somalia shook the market which had been previously plagued with slow internet access and unreliable services and thus began a journey, forever changing the paradigm within the region, to one where quality, service and speed is of utmost importance
